If you are pregnant or with a baby here’s some goods news: criminals may be more likely to steer clear of you, says Tom Patire, author of the top-selling Personal Protection Handbook. Still, to keep safe, here are some of Tom’s Tips™ for new or expecting mothers:
- Stay Off The Cell Phone – It diverts your attention, making you an easy target for theft.
- Walk Like You Have Energy – At a brisk pace, looking straight ahead with you your chin up.
- Advertise That Baby Is With You – Post a Baby On Board sign in your car window, for instance, and most would-be criminals will move on.
