But no matter what your level of experience and professionalism is, when you’re a beautiful women posing in sexy clothing you can sometimes find yourself in compromising and even dangerous situations. Here are some self-protection tips from world-renowned personal safety expert, Tom Patire, and his MODELSAFE™ program:
- Make sure you know the people you are about to meet. You can do this by asking others in the industry about them.
- Make sure that wherever you go someone responsible knows where you are going, who you will be with and what time you are expected back.
- When at the meeting make sure you call your responsible friend and check in. Do this in front of everyone you just met, so they know that someone knows where you are and who you are with.
- If you go somewhere to do a shoot and you don’t feel comfortable with the people or the place, then think about Safety First and make the smart decision and re-schedule!
- Never accept open drinks from people you don’t know, especially at parties. With all the ‘new’ drugs on the street today it is very easy to slip one in your drink without you seeing it; plus most are tasteless, so you would not know you’ve been drugged until it is too late!
- When possible, always travel to and from your appointments with a responsible friend.
